Roofing services from Morecambe Roof Repairs
A leaking roof, broken tiles or slates, loose flashing and failing gutters all need different repairs. We can take a look at the part causing the problem and talk you through the options.
Use the service guides below to find the closest match for what you can see at your property. If you are not sure where water is getting in or which part needs work, get in touch, describe the problem and arrange a quote.
Roofing Service
Choose the service that most closely matches the problem you need help with.

Roof Repairs
Got a leak, slipped tiles or damage around a ridge or valley? We’ll find where the water is getting in and repair the problem.
chimney stack repairs
Loose bricks, crumbling mortar or damaged chimney pots can usually be repaired. If the stack is unsafe, we’ll explain what needs rebuilding.

Flat Roof Repairs
Small splits, lifted felt and leaks around the edges can often be repaired if the deck underneath is still sound.
gutter repairs
If your gutters drip at the joints, sag or spill water down the wall, we can repair the damaged section and get them flowing properly.
fascia repairs
Loose or rotten fascia boards can pull the guttering out of line. We repair smaller damaged sections or replace boards that are too far gone.

Leadwork Repairs
Split or lifted lead around chimneys, walls and valleys can let rain under the roof. We repair or replace the damaged flashing.
Choose a service based on the problem
A roof has lots of connected parts, so the problem you can see is not always where it starts. Water marks indoors could come from a broken tile, a valley, chimney flashing or a flat roof. Overflowing gutters can damage fascias and soffits too.
Our service pages cover the different parts of a roof, so you can have a read before getting in touch.
Roof repairs — for damaged or slipped tiles and slates, worn ridges, problems around valleys and other pitched-roof repairs.
Chimney stack repairs — for damage to chimney details, loose pointing, cracks, flashing around the stack or concerns about the stack itself.
Flat roof repairs — for flat-roof problems, including water getting through or visible damage to the surface and edges.
Gutter repairs — for leaking, loose, overflowing or damaged gutters and downpipes.
Fascia repairs — for damaged fascias or soffits at the roof edge, especially where they need work alongside the guttering.
Leadwork repairs — for problems with lead flashing and lead details around chimneys, valleys, roof joins or other exposed areas.
Roof replacement — where repairs may no longer be enough and the roof needs replacing.
Repair a leak or visible roof damage
Roof repairs are often the right choice if you have spotted a slipped slate, cracked tile, damaged ridge, worn valley or water coming through a pitched roof. We will find the part that needs work and look at the repair around it.
If water is coming through the roof, do not assume it is getting in directly above the damp patch. Make a note of when and where you spot the problem, then contact us with any details you can safely provide.

Problems around a chimney
Water can get in at several points around a chimney stack, including the flashing where it meets the roof. Damage to the stack, mortar or other chimney details may need repairing before it gets worse.
Our chimney stack repairs service is for customers who have spotted wear around their chimney or think it may be linked to a roof leak. For lead flashing problems, see our leadwork repairs service.

Flat roof problems need looking at differently
Flat roof repairs cover problems with the surface, seams, edges, outlets or joins on a flat roof. Bubbling, splits, standing water and damp patches indoors are all useful things to mention when you contact us.
A flat roof needs looking at differently from a tiled or slate roof. Tell us where the flat roof is on the property and what you have noticed.
Gutters, fascias and soffits at the roof edge
Leaking joints, sagging gutters, damaged downpipes and overflowing water need fixing so water can drain away properly. Gutter repairs cover the guttering and downpipes themselves.
Fascias and soffits sit below the roof edge and may need repair where they are damaged around the gutter line. If you can see a problem with both, tell us what you have noticed and we can point you towards the right service.
When roof replacement may be needed
Damage in one part of a roof can often be repaired, but wear across a large part of the roof or repeated problems may mean replacement is the better option. This is different from repairing one tile, a flashing detail or a section of guttering.
We can talk through what you can see on the roof and why you are thinking about replacement. You can then request a quote for your property.
Frequently asked questions
How do I know whether I need roof repairs or roof replacement?
A slipped tile, damaged ridge or worn flashing may only need a repair. If problems keep appearing across much of the roof, replacement could be the better option. We would need to take a look before advising.
Can a chimney cause a roof leak?
Yes. Water can get in around chimney flashing, through damaged chimney details or from problems with the stack itself. A leak near a chimney does not always show exactly where the water is coming from, so tell us where you have seen damp or water and about any damage you can see from ground level.
What should I do if water is coming through the roof?
Move belongings away from the area if it is safe to do so, and use a suitable container to catch dripping water. Do not go onto the roof or try to reach damaged areas from a ladder. Contact us with the location of the leak, when you noticed it and any visible signs, such as missing tiles or damaged flashing.
Do you work outside Morecambe?
Yes. We also cover Lancaster, Heysham, Carnforth, Bentham, Hornby and Galgate. Tell us where the property is and what roofing problem you have.
